WHAT IT IS TO FEEL

As the old adage goes…we need to feelto heal. And why is this so, dear ones?

I was asked yesterday about how the Sacred Women’s Work is different (or the same) as the positivity field which works on changing limiting thoughts and behaviours. And whilst I’m writing a blog piece about this, I wanted to share some immediate and initial thoughts.

In a nut shell – what is often missed in the positivity field is the inherent and important need to feel…to sink down into, and embrace, feelings.

Humans are inherently feeling beings – and our world/schools/businesses/families have unwittingly tried to repress this innate(ness) in us. To feel is our nature and feelings are as naturally arising as the waves on the shores of the ocean.

When a feeling arises, it is not meant to be repressed or supressed by a thought or by will. It is the precious voice of our soul calling out to be witnessed, felt and often released. And when we work with feelings – all feelings – in a safe container, we come into more healing, wholeness and freedom. Feelings exist to be felt. To feel is to heal, dear ones.

more self love, more divine love. Many thoughts can just be replaced with more positive thoughts (increased vibrations) but many can’t. And underneath that thought is a feeling that needs to be seen and released. To try and place one thought (through sheer will) over another thought...can further repress that feeling eg. Trauma, grief, shame etc. The trauma can never be released purely by positive thinking. It needs to be released on an emotional, cellular and spiritual level. When it is, we live in a higher vibrational state. In the new age movement we often miss the critical step of feeling and honouring those feelings...we hierarical feelings as good and bad instead of embracing them all and allowing them to move through us. As we do this we gain more freedom, more wholeness. We are not meant to be neutral human souls. No, we are divinely designed to feel whole, full, dynamic spectrum of living the human journey.

And we don’t have to try a change the feeling…or raise the vibration – shame to pride, sadness to happiness, anger to peace like so many suggest in the New Age movement. There is no hierarchy of feelings - some better than others. Feelings are not meant to be transmuted or transcended, supressed or judged as good or bad, with the force of will. They need to be embraced - seen, witnessed, felt, and eventually released. For what we do know, is that as surely as we release an emotion, another will emerge. For this is the human condition.

We are not meant to be neutral human souls. No, we are divinely designed to feel whole, full, dynamic spectrum of living the human journey.

Feeling exist to be felt. They are the language of the soul to be seen, bright into awareness. All feelings are valid in their own right from the darkest of dark, through to the lightest of light. Each one is perfectly formed to be felt in that specific moment.

And when you dive into the arising feeling, there is a wisdom stemming from the soul.

For this is the way of the world. This is what it is to be human. To be lived moment to moment through feelings.

And when we can embrace them all as perfectly created we can move into healing, connection and wholeness.

You cannot embrace some and avoid others.

Feelings are a meeting place where your soul resides. Sinking into that soft dewy space where love resides.

This is what it is to heal at a soul level.

Feel to heal, dear ones.
